A Studio Bundle projector casting a slow-moving image onto a tall gallery wall

Catalog Nº 02 — Spring/Summer Issue

Studio Bundles

Preconfigured projector, mount, lens, and gallery-grade cabling systems — shipped complete, calibrated in Rotterdam, ready to plug into a gallery wall.

The Bundle Index

Four complete systems, priced as catalog entries.

Each bundle is a working gallery installation, not a shopping cart of parts. Pick the one that matches the room you have — or commission a fifth with our installation engineers.

What ships in every bundle

A complete system, not a kit of parts.

Every Studio Bundle leaves the Rotterdam facility as a closed system — the projector has been mated to its lens, mount, cabling, and playback software on the same bench, by the same engineer who calibrates it.

01

Factory ΔE<1 calibration certificate

Every projector ships with a signed Rec.2020 reference certificate, measured on a Konica-Minolta spectroradiometer, not a software promise.

02

ArtLoop playback — lifetime license

Preconfigured media pipeline with a licensed copy of ArtLoop. No subscription, no DRM handshake, no cloud account required to play.

03

Gallery-grade cabling

Plenum-rated fiber runs, Neutrik terminations, and a labelled patch list drawn for your specific room — not a generic bag of cables.

04

Mount, lens & silent hardware

Engineered mounts and matched lenses, supplied by the same warehouse that shipped the projector — so the arm actually fits the chassis.

05

APS-Edge blending module

Bundles 02 and 04 include the proprietary APS-Edge hardware blending engine — up to 8 projectors on a single canvas, no external media server needed.

06

5-year color-consistency guarantee

If the measured ΔE on your unit drifts above 2 inside five years, we ship a replacement panel within 72 hours. This is written on the back of the certificate, not buried in marketing copy.

How a bundle reaches your wall

Commissioned in Rotterdam, not drop-shipped from a logistics broker.

When a bundle leaves the 14,000 sq ft Rotterdam facility it has already passed through twelve quality gates, including a 48-hour burn-in, a spectroradiometric check against a Rec.2020 reference, and a final on-bench cable termination by the engineer on duty.

A 4-person deployment team — not a subcontractor, not the courier — commissions the system on site, mounts the chassis, lands the lens grid, blends the canvases, and signs the activation log. Across 190+ museum projects since 2020, the on-time first-activation rate is 99.2%.

  1. 01 — Configure

Pick the bundle that fits the room.

Bundle selector with throw distance, ambient light, and wall material inputs. Output is a bill of materials, not a quote promise.

  2. 02 — Calibrate

    Bench-aligned in Rotterdam.

Lens mated to chassis, color profile written to firmware, cables terminated to a labelled patch list signed by the engineer of record.

  3. 03 — Install

On-site commissioning by our own team.

Mount, blend, white-balance, hand off the activation log. First artwork image on the wall before the team packs out.

  4. 04 — Guarantee

    5-year color-consistency cover.

Annual spectroradiometric check is included for institutional buyers. ΔE drift above 2 triggers a 72-hour replacement panel ship-out.

A curator’s note

Why a bundle.

The cheapest way to put a moving image on a wall is a repurposed office projector, a ceiling mount bought online, and an HDMI cable stretched across the floor. We have walked into galleries that looked exactly like that, and we have spent a week making them respectable.

A Studio Bundle exists because the parts of a projection system — chassis, lens, mount, cable, calibration, playback software — were never designed to talk to one another. They were designed in five different factories in three different countries, and the integrator is paid to make them behave.

Art Projectors Studio was founded in 2017 in Rotterdam by three former museum AV integrators who had tired of gluing office hardware together in front of opening-night crowds. We build every component as one system because the canvas a contemporary artist works against deserves better than a borrowed conference-room projector and good intentions.

When you unbox a Studio Bundle, the unit on the wall is the unit we calibrated. The certificate in the cardboard is signed by the engineer on the bench. If the ΔE drifts above 2 inside five years, a replacement panel leaves Rotterdam in 72 hours. That is not a marketing line — that is a guarantee we have paid out 14 times since 2019, every time on schedule.

If you can specify any brand on the market, specify one engineered from the ground up for art.
